Beta version stop working

Overview

If the beta version of Excel-like Tables for Confluence becomes unusable due to Atlassian deprecating the legacy APIs it relies on, you may no longer be able to view, edit, or load your existing Excel-like Tables content.
This page provides guidance on how to restore your table data so it can be accessed again.

Why This May Happen

The beta version depends on Atlassian’s legacy Confluence APIs, which may be removed at any time.
When these APIs are deprecated:

  • Excel-like Tables may fail to load

  • Existing tables may appear blank or show errors

  • The macro may stop functioning entirely

Even if the beta version stops working, your data remains safe. Excel-like Tables for Confluence stores all table data inside the Atlassian ecosystem, meaning your content is preserved as page attachments and does not disappear when the macro fails.

To restore your data or create backups, please refer to the following guides:

  1. How to access "Attachments" in the new Confluence UI

  2. Restore Deleted or Missing Tables
