Instruction for Resolving missing Start/Finish Dates on the Gantt Screen (Version 1.2.4-AC)
First and foremost, please be assured that no data has been deleted. However, the bug resulted in the creation of new Jira custom fields and caused WBS Gantt-Chart to switch its configuration to use those new fields instead of the original ones.
While we have resolved the root cause of the issue to prevent it from occurring with new data, we kindly ask for your assistance in restoring the settings for the data already affected. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated.
To restore the previous configuration, please follow the steps outlined below.
1. Check if there is any new custom fields are created
1.1 Open Audit log

1.2 Find the custom fields that were created by the bug
Identify the fields that match the following criteria.
Search keyword: WBS Gantt-Chart
Date: 21/Jan/2025 ~ 23/Jan/2025
Author: WBS Gantt-Chart for Jira
Change summary: Custom field created

Please note down the names of all the fields.
For example, these fields were created in this site:
Milestone (WBS Gantt-Chart)
Manually scheduled (WBS Gantt-Chart)
Percent done (WBS Gantt-Chart)
Baseline finish date (WBS Gantt-Chart)
Baseline start date (WBS Gantt-Chart)
If you do not find any fields in this step, it means the issue does not affect you. You can stop following the instructions here.
2. Check and try updating the field settings in the issue configuration
2.1 Open Issue setting in “Manage your apps“

2.2 Try to edit fields setting
First, take a screenshot of the current settings as a backup.
Then, try updating the settings for the fields below
Start date field
Finish date field
Baseline start date field
Baseline finish date field
Percent done field
Units field
Manual scheduled field
Milestone field

Rest assured, your data will not be lost when changing the field settings. If you discover a field is incorrect, feel free to try a different one.
Don't worry if you can't recall your previous field settings. Please raise a support ticket and provide your site URL. Our support team will retrieve your previous settings from the backup database and get back to you.
3. Delete any unnecessary fields that were created in Step 1.2
You can complete this step after a few days or weeks to ensure the feature is working properly.
3.1 Open Jira custom fields management page

3.2 Search and delete the fields
Search for the fields identified in Step 1.2.
And then delete them.

Once you have completed the steps, please verify that the Gantt screen displays the correct Start and Finish dates.
