Create, edit, and delete dependency
Creating a dependency
Dragging the edge of an issue to the edge of another issue creates a dependency between the two issues.
Move the cursor on the Gantt bar of a predecessor issue.
Drag the connector.
Drop on the connector of the successor issue Gantt bar.
A dependency cannot be created if issues have a parent-child relationship, or if the two issues are identical. Also, if a connector is not displayed, the settings do not allow to create that kind of dependency.
Set lag or lead time
When you mouse over the dependency line, "Details" will be displayed.
Click "Details" to display the dialog box for setting the lag/lead time, and enter the desired value.
Deleting a dependency
Delete from the contextual menu of the issue.
Right-click on the issue.
Delete dependency ... ⇒ Select the dependency you want to delete
Edit dependencies using columns
You can also use the Successor and Predecessor columns to view and edit dependencies.
The Successor and Predecessor columns show the keys of the issues that are the Successor and Predecessor of the issue.
To create a new dependency, put the Successor and Predecessor column in edit state and enter the key or summary of the issue you want to be the Successor or Predecessor of that issue.
When you enter a key or summary, a list of candidates will be displayed, and you can select an issue from the list to create a dependency.
The dependencies that the issue has will be displayed in a column with the following format
[Issue Key][Dependency Type][Lag/Lead]
Example
SAMPLE-123FS+3day
Dependency Type
Dependency Type | Description | Note |
---|---|---|
SS | Start to Start dependency | - |

FF | Finish to Finish dependency | - |

lag : +Xday
lead : -Xday
If lag/lead is 0, it will not be displayed.
